Emotional People, fundamental problems
Rapporteur- Farbod Dehghani: after burning and subsequent collapse of Plasco building, the society once again plunged into shock and awe. Dozens of firefighters have been stocked under the rubble. And efforts to rescue them are still continuing.
But another tragedy took place on that day, indicating that there is still a long way to cultural and social development, ahead.
Many people ran to the scene to take selfies which only made rescue operation harder. Campaign named: put down the camera, immediately began to protest against this behavior. Unfortunately, the story did not stop there. Despite the emphasis of security officials and relief, more people went to a place.
In some videos shown that, ambulances and aid teams were begging to pass through the crowd. What was the most painful thing was that not only ordinary people, but also a number of celebrities such as actors were there! Indeed, what is the purpose of doing these things?
Unfortunately, these emotional acts which often occur without thinking had lots of damages to our country, not only internal affects but also many foreign one too.
Climbing from embassies walls and attacks on diplomatic premises, is a simple example of such actions which with any reason, isn’t acceptable for international community and all international laws.
Plasco disaster, once again showed that what a long road is ahead. I wish this event all make all of us to think about our behaviors, that we must reform ourselves. We must realize that many problems are causing by us, the people of society and government is not always faulty.
We must learn to ourselves and children that we have to start with ourselves. To put down the camera, and if we cannot help to improve the situation, at least not worsen it. This is a great tragedy and perhaps greater than Plasco disaster.
