Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Iyad bin Amin stated on Saturday that the human rights violations being committed in Kashmir need to be put to an end, further demanding that the international community should give the right of self determination to the people of Kashmir, reported Dunya News.
Iyad bin Amin stated that the situation in Kashmir was worsening with every passing day. Advisor to the Prime Minister (PM) on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz stated that OIC completely backed Pakistan’s stance regarding Kashmir and demanded that the international organisations should take notice of the human rights violations being committed in Kashmir.
Sartaj also stated that Pakistan had invited Indian Foreign Secretary to the country in order to have meaningful dialogue over Kashmir, further stating that he was waiting for the Indian Foreign Secretary’s response.
Amin’s statement comes a day after United Nations Organisation (UNO) Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon urged India and Pakistan to settle the Kashmir dispute in a letter he wrote as a response to Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s letter.
